Title: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Genre: Adult Fiction
Author: Chbosky, Stephen
Rating: 5

Review: Charlie, his alias, tells the story through the writing of letters sent to an anonymous friend. Charlie is a freshman in H.S. and in his letters he describes a series of events which touch upon a myriad of subjects such as teen sexuality, depression, molestation, drug use, homosexuality, rape, pregnancy and love. I was amazed at how astute he was for a H.S. freshman. However, there seems to be something wrong with Charlie and you come to learn the truth about him at the end of the book.

  1. Perks of being a wallflower is controversial, inspiring, disturbing and an open story to a reality behind a boys life. I found it rather amusing and very interesting for the fact that it made me nod in agreement as to how life is, growing up.I surely recommend this book for adolescents. It's about living life and looking at the world in a different and wider perspective, accepting differences, dreaming and just believing in the infinite.
