Released Today: You Are Free by Danzy Senna

In this collection of short stories, Danzy Senna explores the timely topic of being biracial in postmillennial America. Senna, herself the mixed-race daughter of a black father and a white mother, writes about the struggle for acceptance that multiracial people face every day. Kirkus, which gave a starred review to You Are Free, describe the book as: "Deft, revealing stories about young interracial women struggling for self-identity in an increasingly mixed culture, frequently in the company of men who have little interest in questioning the things they do."
