Join us for a Book Discussion

1984 by George Orwell
The library continues its year long salute to books that have been made into movies with this coming month's book discussion of George Orwell's classic futuristic novel 1984

Written in 1948, 1984 was Orwell's chilling prophecy about the future when a totalitarian government watches over all citizens and directs all activities. War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery: Big Brother is Watching. Was Orwell's prophecy right?

Read the book (or read it again) and join us at the library for a lively discussion on Monday, August 18th from 2pm - 4pm. To register, call 631-399-1511 ext 240 or simply click here to register yourself.

Note: there are still copies of 1984 available for check-out at the Circulation Desk on the main floor of the library.
