Classic Literature

Does the back-to-school season have you reminiscing about the classic literature that you read back in high school? Why not try to re-read them and see if your perspectives and understanding have changed? Here are a few we recommend:

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
A Separate Peace by John Knowles
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

For more recommendations, stop by the library display in the fiction collection on the lower level of the library or ask a reference librarian.
