Celebrate Father's Day with these

Celebrate Father's Day (which is coming up on June 19th) with these fatherhood-oriented titles! In the newly-released fictional Remember Ben Clayton, a rancher commissions an artist to create a memorial statue for his son who was killed in World War I; meanwhile, the artist's own relationship with his daughter is jeopardized by a secret. The Reading Promise is the recently-published true account of how one father inspired a lifelong love of learning in his daughter by reading aloud to her every night - for nine years. Another nonfictional memoir, Bury Me In My Jersey, tells the sad but powerful story of a son who shared his father's love of the Philadelphia Eagles and how he finally came to terms with his father's death. A somewhat lighter selection is The Book of Dads, which is a collection of essays on the ups and downs of fatherhood. Meanwhile, Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy is a new work of fiction about a recovering alcholic who agrees to care for a baby that his terminally ill ex-girlfriend claims is his child.
