Where We Read

According to this article from the Los Angeles Times, Americans overwhelmingly prefer to read in bed, with 79% of respondents indicating this location. A close second place is the living room at 73% (respondents were allowed to choose more than one answer), followed by 37% who said they like to read while on vacation. But whether you're on way to Florida, a Smith Point Beach daycation, or looking for a literary escape that's even closer to home, be sure to check out a library book on your way; perhaps Bingsop's Fables: Little Morals for Big Business, the newly-published book one reviewer describes as "deceptively simple bedtime stories for adults."

You are what you read

How much can you tell about people from the books they say influenced them most? According to the folks at Scholastic Publishing, quite a lot. Their newly launched site, You Are What You Read, was featured recently on ABC's Good Morning America (original video available here), and encourages users to to share their unique personal "bookprints" while checking out the bookprints of such celebrities as Taylor Swift, Bill Gates, and Daniel Radcliffe.
