Debut Released Today: The Family Fang

What is it like to be raised by two push-the-envelope performance artists? The Family Fang, Kevin Wilson's debut novel, explores this question from the point of view of the now-adult children Annie and Buster Fang. Flashbacks to their childhood show their eccentric parents Caleb and Camille pulling stunts that ruin their family vacation, among other things. 1. Its pretentious outer shell is what grabs browsers at a store or what have you, but the contents inside takes you to a place familiar. With short and memorable tales of the parents' dysfunctional methods of raising their children in the name of art, the story of A and B finding their own identity is one great exhibit worth experiencing.
